Camp Scugog Weekend 2010
June 1, 2010 | Posted by Lavinia Popinceanu
From Friday, May 28th to Sunday, May 30th, 2010 Kevin and Anna K. participated in restoration of Camp Scugog, an annual project organized by the Rotary Club of Toronto.
Camp Scugog is a summer camp for underprivileged children and disadvantaged families, who attend the camp over summer to experience nature, friendship and community. To provide its campers with this valuable experience and safe environment, every season Camp Scugog is in need of site and facility upgrades.
Considerable improvements have been made during the work weekend including extensive painting and repairing of cabins and benches, carpentry and bike repairs. Two days of hard work gave the buildings and facilities a fresh new look, so the Camp is ready to welcome children and provide them with unforgettable summer camp experience.
Special thanks to Susan Howson, a Rotarian who administered the event and effectively managed the work process on-site, and to the Rotary Club of Toronto for making the weekend a great success.
